Our accessibility commitment.
Frequency of Love wants its artwork, stories and practical information to be available to as many people as reasonably possible.
The project is working towards an experience that can be navigated by keyboard, enlarged without losing essential information, understood through clear structure, used with common assistive technologies and accessed without relying only on colour, motion or sound.
WCAG 2.2 AA is the target.
The website is not described as fully compliant because the production integrations and final accessibility audit are not complete.
How accessibility shapes the design.
The established design system uses semantic page structure, responsive layouts, readable text sizes, visible focus states, restrained motion and strong Ink/Paper contrast.
Important journeys are checked across desktop, tablet and mobile widths. Testing continues as content and services change. Secure checkout currently continues on Etsy, which is an external service with its own accessibility support.
Features built into the website.
- a skip link to move directly to the main content;
- one primary H1 and logical section headings on each page;
- keyboard-operable navigation and disclosure controls;
- visible labels for form fields;
- visible focus outlines using Frequency Yellow;
- responsive layouts without horizontal information tables;
- alternative text for informative imagery and empty alt text for decorative marks;
- reduced-motion support for visitors who request it.
Current limitations and unfinished testing.
A formal independent accessibility audit has not been completed, and the website is not described as fully compliant. Third-party checkout and social platforms are outside Frequency of Love’s direct control.
The statement will be updated when testing identifies a material issue or the website changes significantly.
Alternative support.
If part of the website is difficult to use, the studio can consider reasonable ways to provide the same information or assistance—for example a plain-text artwork description, help identifying visual detail or support completing an enquiry.
Use the Contact page to ask for an alternative format or help with a journey. The studio will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Report an accessibility problem.
Use the Contact page and describe the page or function, the outcome you need and—only if you are comfortable sharing it—the device or assistive technology involved.
